(TGIF) thank goodness it's Friday wrestling fans!
Tonight's blog is dedicated to the Friday Night Smackdown broadcasted a few hours ago. I have every intention of watching it later...
You: "Why didn't you watch it earlier?"
"Wrestling is your life??"
"Ed didn't watch the show tonight to hear how his chant compelled the hundreds... and HUNDREDS of ticket holders to cheer alongside him on Sunday night???"
I actually and truly had better plans this evening. Tonight I played Scattergories with my beautiful nieces and nephews while listening to Rihanna radio on Pandora. It was "2 sweeeet" as the Wolfpac would say...
In case anyone didn't know, I was at the taping of tonight's Smackdown that took place in Washington, DC this past Sunday 12/29/2013 @VerizonCenter. Tonight's episode was the last Smackdown of 2013 to be broadcasted in 2014. That fact plus Verizon Center being home of my all-time favorite basketball team: The Washington Wizards (formerly referred to as the Washington Bullets) made just the thought of tonight's show special to me. In addition to those two items my boys bought my ticket as a bday gift for me... psssssshhhh! All of these things combined plus food, many drinks, and awesome fanfare is why tonight's episode is EPIC. Get your popcorn ready, and let's enjoy the show!
What I liked most about tonight's Smackdown is how the WWE's psychology used brilliant methods to earn the viewers attention towards lower Wrestling Superstars on the roster. Wrestler's tonight like; Cody Rhoades, Golddust, The Uso's, and The Wyatt Family are bound to go way over in 2014 as top talent in the pro wrestling business. My opinion is 'cause the use of CM Punk tonight. The majority of fans everywhere are growing to love CM Punk more than Randy Orton, John Cena, and even the Undertaker now! I was in attendance @Wrestlemania 29 @MetLife Stadium where I witnessed this for myself. The majority of fans in the arena toted signs stating things like; "29 - 1: CM Punk breaks the streak." Think about it, when has anyone thought the Undertaker would really lose at Wrestlemania?!
It is amazing how WWE can use one big Superstar as a catalyst to aim their fans' focus and systematically create numerous other Superstars. How can the WWE make a heel turn babyface in one split second (and vice versa)? This niche form of business is what makes the WWE so intriguing to me, and is why I encourage all of you to watch RAW this Monday Night at 8:00 PM EST. Pro Wrestling and the WWE go together like peanut butter and jelly these days... Don't miss out!
Stay tuned for real-time pictures and more thoughts about how tonight's episode of Friday Night Smackdown was filmed!!!
