There are a few reasons why I feel WWE should reboot Randy Orton's Legend Killer character. Let's begin by listing the Legends he's already destroyed.
Legends Killed by Randy Orton
Ric Flair
Shawn Michaels
Sgt. Slaughter
The Undertaker
Mick Foley
Hulk Hogan
Triple H
Rowdy Roddy Piper
Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Dusty Rhodes
Harley Race
Rob Van Dam
Kamala
Eric Bischoff
The Fabulous Moolah
Orton has firmly established himself in the WWE as a stand alone Superstar. I mean, he will be going up against Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in the next WWE pay-per-view, Extreme Rules. Enough said. The truth is wherever Orton ranks on the roster his fan base has remained steady and consistent. During last year's #rkoouttanowhere! viral video excitement, Orton's fan appeal grew even larger into the world of pop culture and mainstream entertainment. Heck, my non-wrestling fans were sending me the links...
I feel that WWE may miss an opportunity to capitalize on increasing Orton's fan appeal by under-utilizing the Legend Killer character. A healthy Orton is a blessing to the WWE. After Extreme Rules would be the best time to bring back the Legend Killer. Since Orton recently parted ways with The Authority he's been drifting in and out of story lines on RAW. Not bad, especially since it brought him to the main event at Extreme Rules. I feel with the emergence of the WWE Network and the live streaming of WWE's annual Hall of Fame ceremony, there's another angle for Orton to own. Perhaps next year's 2016 Hall of Fame ceremony could be the Legend Killer's return out of nowhere?
These are the reasons why I feel WWE should bring back the Legend Killer.
